Science Museum

My middle sister is now being home schooled too! Yesterday, we went on a school trip to the London Science Museum.
We slept at our grandparents house.We went on the train to London and then we saw there was a school group there too - oh well. We got in and started at the top floor.

This thing is to do with how to ice skate. You lean out to slow down, you lean in to speed up. So when your weight is near the middle you can go faster.

This was on the top floor which was all inventions from 1600's & 1700's (and a cafe). This is a replica of the Hooke-Boyle Air pump-1659.

Although this tube was short, when you look through it there is a long way to the other person. It is because of lot's of mirrors taking the image down under a wall, then up and along another tube the other side.

Here there appeared to be a real watch, but if you reach out to touch it there's nothing. A good prank to play on a thief. If you look round the side from the back you could see it below where the image appeared. It was a hologram.

There was three buttons and each one switched on a different light creating different shadows.This was my favourite one.

 Finally time for the Rocket show there were a lot of  bangs.We destroyed a balloon with a candle ouch, not for the balloon for my ear. The harder you push something and the lighter the faster it will go.If you push something in one direction you push yourself in the opposite direction with the same force. Something that is not moving will not start to move unless a force pushes it.The speed and direction of a moving thing will stay the same forever unless a force makes it change and those are Newtons Laws.

 It is a hot spot machine.

 Yes i was in the one with a smile.

 This is big made up of lot's of materials such as glass,carpet,marble and rug but lot's more as you can see.
