More May maddness

It's been a busy month its difficult to keep up with everything!

We have been having a huge sort out, especially me, so my middle sister and I can share a room again. We took most of our stuff to a boot fair to sell and whilst there, my friends M & L came a long so we looked around with them for a bit. I also made lots of money and most of it was profit as I didn't spend very much while there.

My sister F and I, have been going swimming every day for almost 2 weeks now. Mostly, it's been just us but some times friends join us too.

If you have seen one of my older post's, you know I went to a  folk music thing. I did it again but this time with a friend C. I played a drum, shaky eggs and other stuff. It was really fun. We also danced like royal people. My friend and I laughed so much as we got the steps wrong and it looked a little weird. After that we went pond dipping in MK but where we went was man made and there wasn't much in there. Apart from after that,we got ice-cream and my friend gave me a bracelet. Yey!

Last Monday I got to see, the Lego movie but even better than that, I got to see it with a friend K. It is so cool. My favourite character was Uni-kitty. My favourite part was probably when the special one says "I know what your thinking - that I am the least qualifed person to lead you and you are right"
Afterwards we went swimming at Flitwick and had skittles sweets. I can now do a double foward-roll in the pool. It was such fun.

I have now completed all the on-line year 7 (I am year 5) of Education City although I can't celebrate quite yet, as I've still got some work sheets from it to do.

Yesterday, I went to the pool with an old school friend S, and joined home school friends K, M and L there. We then went to Wrest Park again too.  Today we are off to MK Gallery to an Arts Award event (where you also get lunch) and a workshop.

Sleepover

On Thursday my mum dropped me off at Wrest park to meet one of my friends. We played on all sort's of things like the swings, zip wire and many more. Next we went to my friends house to play and it was so much fun. After that we put up one of her tents to sleep in. It looked quite small but inside it had lot's of room.
Once we had put up the tent, we realized it was quite easy. When it was time to go to bed we got our sleeping bags and watched 'ICarly'. Later in the night it got really hot and we couldn't get to sleep, so we started moving around a lot. By the time 'ICarly' finished we were on the sofa's.

For dinner we had mash, sausages, cheese and chopped tomatoes. We made them into volcanoes.

In the morning, we went to the fun factory.
It is like kid's world, but with an even more scary drop slide. I didn't want to go on it.
We also made friendship bracelets, but they didn't really work out so we turned them into friendship key rings.

Lincon museum and conservation at the University

I'm ready for my day in Lincoln which is a City quite far North from us. It took ages to get there!
My Dad took some very old art to the conservation department in the Lincoln University.  It was for his work and he'd rung them to ask if we could go and look around too. Anyway about the picture:-  this is a dead crocodile that was in terrible condition so it got sent here to be conserved.

This is the room were they store the stuff that were in terrible condition but they have worked on conserving them and so they are ready to be collected by the people who bought them there.

This is one of the things my dad bought there.

Afterwards, we were going towards the Museum and found are selves a little den. On this extremely steep hill I fell over and it hurt a lot.

We went to a museum in Lincoln. There was this game there so we played it. My sister won. She always wins games like this. The game was like 0s and Xs.

In the museum I made a stained glass window. With bit's of plastic cut into shapes.

Friends and pond life

I went to Marston Forest centre with my friends.
We played for a bit, then we went fishing in the lake.
While fishing with two of my younger friends, I caught a whole swarm of tadpoles in one go by myself. I was so proud. It was incredible to see how many tadpoles were in one small bucket of water!
Next I went fishing in another part, in the pond with a different friend who was also with us. We caught 6 fish, some tadpoles, pond snails, dead things, water scorpions and pond skaters. We also found a clipboard at the bottom of the pond. I did some research on the animals we found.

1.Sticklebacks are the most common fish to find in ponds, lakes and rivers like this.
2.Clipboards are very snappy (joke)!
3.Tadpoles are baby frogs. They are also blind.
4.Water Scorpions are very cool. They are the underwater predators. They hide in dead leaves, and pounce on their prey, which includes tadpoles and small fish.
5.Pond skaters skate on the surface on the water. I wish I could do that.
6.Pond snails are snails that live in ponds.

We also have a small pond in are back garden,I'm looking forward to seeing what's in there.

Mk Gallery

I went to the  Mk gallery, to a art awards workshop, with my sister and my dad.I have also gone to a lot of other workshops here.

1.We chose any equipment  and used it to splatter paint,on our paper.

2. Then we splattered our paint with lot's of different thing's, like forks, spoons, knives, straws and lots more.

3.We went into the Art Gallery, while it was drying, and enjoyed the exhibition.

4. We were told to think of famous buildings you see in MK, like Xscape.

5. Next, we cut out shapes from the sheet of splattered paint, in the shape of the buildings from MK that we had thought of.

6.Lastly, we stuck them on.

7.The end result!

Folk music at the Stables - MK

Me,my dad and my sister, went to a folk music thing. I was a little sad when I couldn't play my tin whistle there because I wasn't an advanced player. That meant I had to play the shakey eggs or tamborine instead!

After playing music we danced to folk music. The dance was sort of like Morris men, so it was very traditional and almost impossible to take a photo that wasn't blurry.
We are going to another session soon and my good friend Charlotte will be joining us. :-)

Got to dance - TV show!

AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH Guess what. I went to see a dance show called "Got to  dance" with celeb Judges.
When this really cool dancer did his thing I was thinking why is every-one just clapping to his dance? Why not dance to his dance. So I started dancing sort of in my chair, then my friends started to do it to then later my mum said the camera man filmed me and my friends dancing in the audience. We might be on TV. AHHHHHH.
Just got to Dance. We saw break dancers, bone breaking dancing, contempory dance, weird slow dance, salsa and show offs who couldn't really dance!
It was at the Round House in Camden, London. We had to leave really early to get there by train, followed by a lot of queing in the rain! When the performers came on they had to wait for the 3 celeb judges to make their decision on whether or not they were good enough to go through to the next round. The they explained why they gave them a gold star to go through, or not! Some person got very upset with them as they didn't think he was very good and it turned out, he was a dance teacher himself!

Chessington World of Adventures

I went to one of my best friends birthday party and it rocked. We went on lot's of rides.
First we went on the vampire well, just me and Kali initially. It was such fun.
At the end we went on the Vampire Well again, and Charlotte, the birthday girl joined us.
There was also this really freaky ride but we did not go on it as it was way to scary. It involved going upside down while dipping your hair in water then spinning round very fast. That is a bit scary don't you think?
The four of us.

This is monkey swingers, first we said no way are we going on this it looks so scary, but really it wasn't. It was actually the funnest ride I have ever been on. I felt like I was flying.

No! This is the cave of doom, were you get sprayed with water.

This is the Scorpian express and it was so much fun.

We also went on a ride to look around at the animals. Then we went to actually walk around the zoo to see them close up.

A cute giraffe. It went so close to us, we could stroke it.

May Maddness

My sister and I like playing Wii games. Mario Cart is one of our favourite so we decided to play it upside down. Its really hilarious this way!
I did some facepainting. This is me as a pink cat. I did my Mum as a tiger but she wouldn't let me put the photo here. :-( meow...
My sister has been training our dogs. Mum thinks it looks like she's trying to train the cushions too!
We went to Wrest Park a few times with my Home Education friends.  We have such a great time.
I did some chemisty at the weekend, with my Dad and sister using our own chemisty set.

I love my new cubs. Here we went to Barton Springs. It was great fun.

Theatre and sleepover

I went to one of my best friends birthday party and we went to see "Friend or Foe". It was brilliant and we think we saw the author in the audience, Michael Morpurgo.  When we got back we sang "Happy Birthday" to Elise and had some Jessie cake. Then we got ready for our sleepover, not, more like a wake-over. We tried to make a den but it didn't really work out that great.

More stuff from April.

This is a molecule set I got for Christmas!
Can you work out what this is? Yes, H2O or water.

I had been given an old set of small drawers so I rubbed them down, painted it all white and stencilled decorations on it.
Ta da! It is finished. Yey.
I also did a chocolate project which of course, meant we had to eat chocolate. Awesome.

Online achievements

It was quite busy as I finished a year of Literacy Planet, an online programme. I did loads and achieved nearly 6,000 stars and I earnt lots of trophies, clothes, medals etc. This was year 5 work and I am 9, so year 5.
I also finished a year on Education City, another online programme. I had already finished year 5 and this month I finished year 6 work as well  (all I going to do anyway). Yey!!!

A day of highs and lows.

In the morning I wasn't very well. I had a cold and kept trying to sleep it off.  I finally felt better and went to see my friends at our allotment. We went into the nature reserve. We were looking in the pond and I fell in!!! Just my luck... it was the deep end and I was wet up to my shoulders in pond water. My friends were in shock and froze. It was very scary and I was too miserable for Mum to take a photo. :-(
In the evening it was my assessment at drama. I went with another friend. I think I did quite well and I really enjoyed it. We did some extracts from "Charlie and the Chocolate factory".
