Friends and pond life

I went to Marston Forest centre with my friends.
We played for a bit, then we went fishing in the lake.
While fishing with two of my younger friends, I caught a whole swarm of tadpoles in one go by myself. I was so proud. It was incredible to see how many tadpoles were in one small bucket of water!
Next I went fishing in another part, in the pond with a different friend who was also with us. We caught 6 fish, some tadpoles, pond snails, dead things, water scorpions and pond skaters. We also found a clipboard at the bottom of the pond. I did some research on the animals we found.

1.Sticklebacks are the most common fish to find in ponds, lakes and rivers like this.
2.Clipboards are very snappy (joke)!
3.Tadpoles are baby frogs. They are also blind.
4.Water Scorpions are very cool. They are the underwater predators. They hide in dead leaves, and pounce on their prey, which includes tadpoles and small fish.
5.Pond skaters skate on the surface on the water. I wish I could do that.
6.Pond snails are snails that live in ponds.

We also have a small pond in are back garden,I'm looking forward to seeing what's in there.
