Sept Wk 3 - New drama, science and lots of walks!

I tried a Home Education drama group which was really fun. My best friend E was there. We did all about animals and had to act like the animals. I was a cat and a show off. We had to do a little play about it. It was quite far away though so I'm not sure if we will go back especially as Mum thought we should survive with one car and now that car has broken down. :-(

I did a lot of science as we worked through a book in the library on materials, evaporation, condensation, melting and solidifying. We also finished going through a book at home on cogs and wheels, friction and pulleys.  We made our own cogs:-
I also revised the part of the body from a kit we had from the British Heart Foundation.

We also did a lot of walking as my sister is refusing to go to school by bus, we don't have a car all the time (especially now it's not working) and my Mum won't let her walk all the way home on her own.  Most of the walk is through the fields and its very long but there are a lot of blackberry bushes so it's not too bad.

Look at all these blackberry bushes - yummy!

More blackberries and these are really large.
Walking...
More walking...
Resting from walking....
More walking....

More walking....
More walking... further to go yet and I can't do any more! That day, we had to walk there and back twice too. Even the dogs were tired at the end.

Here are some of the plants we found on the long walk.
Herb Robert
Common Mallow
Shepherd's purse - my favourite. Look at the heart shaped leaves!

Cow Parsley
Common Ragwort
Gorse

 Fern

Bindweed
I also found some pottery bits like I usually do on a walk.
There was also a massive Fungus that was larger than our biggest pan!

I am trying to go on Wii Fit for 30 minutes a day. I am really good at the cycling one and keep unlocking new levels. I also did some netball. I am getting quite good at getting it in the net....

We haven't finished building the dolls house yet, but I am playing with it anyway.

I started learning about the middle ages, castles and knights as we've quite a few books on this subject. My Dad is an archeologist and loves history so he will be pleased.

Tonight it's drama. I can't wait! Oh, but first there is another walk...

What a busy week it's been. :-)

Sept wk 2 - Not back to school picnic, penguin, dolls house and crafts

Mum wasn't well so I did a lot of reading and some maths.

We went to a Not Back to School Picnic in Shuttleworth play area.
The first thing I did when I got there was say "Hi" to my best friend Elise. We did play but we mostly made Tarise videos. We made up lot's of new sketches for our web show Tarise. There were a lot of other people there. It is a fantastic play area.

I was given my parts in drama. I am Mazie(normal person), Azumi(Alien) and the Foreman(boss person) so I am really pleased. The show we are doing is Little shop of horrors.

I also finished my Penguin project which I started ages ago.

My Mum and I are decorating a Georgian style dolls house. We put it together and painted it. I can not wait till it's done.

I did a little more cross stitch.

I decorated a wooden jewellery box.

I learnt about wildlife from the back of a poster we had.
I did a magic show for my Dad's Birthday.

I also did a lot of cooking. :-)

Sept - Wk 1 - Portait gallery, Hetty Feather and illness!!!!!!!!

We went into London to the National Portrait Gallery we looked at portraits That's a surprise!

We then went to see Hetty Feather in the theatre which is a book by Jacqueline Wilson. It was brilliant and it's a fantastic story.

The following day I went to see my friend H and another friend C was there. We played outside a lot but it was quite a wet day.

Then I slept and I slept and I slept from Monday until Thursday!  Mum thought I had a virus so kept dosing me up but by Thursday she decided there was more to it and took me to the doctor. They said to get to the hospital immediately but we had to go by bus as Dad had our car!  The doctors in the hospital said I had an ulcer and infection on top of tonsillitis so I came home with 6 different yucky medicines.

Mama (my Grandmother) also came to stay on the Tuesday as she was recovering from having a pacemaker fitted. I had a competition to see who had the most disgusting medicine. I think I won but Mama's are mainly tablets. Mum spent the rest of the week looking after us. When Mama and I began to recover, we played scrabble and hangman. I also did a little bit of Maths, but not much as I was too ill most of the week for work!

Aug Wk 4 - Harrods, London TV Show and WEHEC

We went to Harrods in London one of the most expensive shops ever. The Harrods we see today was built between 1901-1905 so it took a long time to build.

Then there's the food bakery food, sweets, chocolate, fudge and lodes more.I can't believe we actually bought something there.Well it was the cheapest thing there.
Harrods is one the main attractions in London. You'll see what I mean when you go and see all the beautiful decorations inside and out. When I went it was amazing we saw lot's the one I remember best was the Egypt room. The Egyptian stuff were so beautiful with all the gods carved into the walls.
I wish I could have a slice of that.

There wine is so expensive - £20,000!
Look at the one it the middle of us he's tiny.

After Harrods we went to the TV show "Got to dance".

Some of the bands were boy band, bitter harvest, dance illusion and Dan-i and Sia.

Then we went to another Home Ed camp called WEHEC.
This is were we went river dipping and found lot's of caddis fly lavi.

I slept in this bell tent with my sister and my friend.

There was a climbing frame in the middle of the Wehec field.

These are swing boats we went on them every day.I was crowned the queen of the swing boats twice because I went the highest.

My sister went on the trapeze .

We did a loom band stall and earnt 11 pounds.

There were lot's of other stalls to look at.

On one of the days we went to Cardigan. We had a meal out.
